Synopsis
2008: Deep in the mountain forests of Wyoming, photographer Graham Cook is distracted from his search for the North American Grizzly bear, when he stumbles across the rotting remains of a wooden wagon. He's discovered what's left of the Preston Group, a convoy of settlers that vanished in the winter of 1848. It's clear that something horrific happened here all those years ago, but Cook can only find a few tantalising clues...1848: as early snows descend, the eclectic group of settlers that form the Preston wagon train are forced to dig in. Miles from any kind of civilisation, they see the group of Native Americans also trapped nearby as their greatest threat. But they soon realise what true danger is. When a woman is found murdered, appallingly mutilated, one of the Indian party struggles wounded back to camp, whispering of unspeakable evil as he dies. United by fear, the settlers and the Indians must protect themselves against whatever is lurking in the woods. But as suspicion and panic grow, perhaps their own terror will be just as dangerous. Or maybe, whatever's out there is worse than anything they can imagine.Back in the present day, as Cook unravels the mystery, he must question if the horror he is uncovering was in fact only the start of something much worse.

Dros has quoted the blurb from Amazon UK - which says it's due on 21 August. So when does it feature in the Scarrow Shop. Andy?

I would have thought earlier than august, although that might have change from the last dates I saw for Al's new book.

Hi fellas. Release date will be 21st August as far as I know. They got a couple details wrong in the blurb, nothing major though.
It could be described as Thomas Harris's RED DRAGON meets LAST OF THE MOHICANS. And...boy, does it get bloody. |

Sounds like a good movie as well as a good book! Will be buying it as soon as its out!
Are more people against fur than leather because its a lot easier to attack rich women than Hells Angels?????? |

Its more detailed than what appears in the Orion Catalogue. Which has it cited for a July release date.

Way, way happier. It's been quite a cathartic experience, this 3rd book - a novel that was rushed, and initially one I struggled to get enthusiastic over.
Something happened in the 2nd draft that radically changed the book for me. This is one I'm proud of. |

you should be proud, id be happy just to carry an idea all the way through to a completed book...you should be extremely proud at getting to book 3.

Catalogues tend to be accurate for the books at the beginning of its time but towards the end theyre way out of date and theres others that you didnt make it in coming out. I think that they should release an E-Update about half way through.
