you know over the years i have taken a fair bit of crap about buying Dell, especially the help (after sales)..well this morning at 8.30 my mother board blew up, and 50 mins ago an engineer arrived and replaced it...hows that for great warranty service!!

ahh but the differance is yours was the exception rather than the rule and the corporate Dell support isn't bad, just not as good as other suppliers.
the home type cover is atrocious and i would warn anyone off getting a dell for their home...

but mine is a dell with home cover warranty, according to the guy who came out this is standard...and compared to a mate who bought a laptop (HP) from PC world...they asked him to post it at his expense, that was 3 weeks ago and he still does not have it back...it only needs the DVD drive replacing

i think its one of those hisrotical things , they may well have had issues in the past, but these days in the iT and indeed the service world, if you dont look after the customers you go down the pan...seems they have learned.

"problems"....DELL? Don't they mean the same thing? It'll be distant history the day I go back to DELL. They were such a nightmare that I still get flashbacks.
