For those of you who have bookmarked the forum and come directly here and not via our website, you probably won't have noticed big changes.
If you go here www.scarrow.co.uk you will notice things have been happening behind the scenes. This page now leads to:
News and Blogs: this is the site we've had for the last year, but, it's going to change soon, with a lot more content and cool stuff.
Scarrow Shop: we've got a shop now that specifically caters for fans and collectors. Instead of buying signed, stamped and personalised 1st editions from other traders, you'll be able to buy them directly from Simon and I. None of this send a cheque nonsense...it's instant paypal transactions, and proper protective packaging now! Very proffessional.
All books sold through our shop will be stamped with a unique - designed by us - label and signed. In addition we will offer a plethora of limited edition collectibles, and unique freebies, that you simply will not get anywhere else.
If that's not enough...every book we sell, will be lovingly caressed by Simon and I, before being packaged, sealed with a loving kiss and sent. Hell, you won't get that from Amazon ;-)
YouWrite Online: And finally, something we've wanted to do for quite some time...a site where struggling, aspiring writers can upload their work for the world to see, and allowing other writers - including us Scarrow brothers - to comment upon. We're offering impartial advice on your work...something you'll never get from friends and family. So don't be afraid, upload your work and get some feedback. Whilst at the same time, why not help out other writers and offer your feedback too? YouWrite Online is designed to be a safe place to experiment with your writing and ideas...a safe place to learn the craft, to make all the mistakes and to grow.
As the site develops we will be offering various workshops, exercises and essays to help writers navigate this rapidly changing business. And we hope to build a community of writers who can help each other, and whom we can help as best we can to find their audience.

OK, I've signed up, and clicked on Notify Me for all three forthcoming books. Yes, three, go have a look. Now just a couple of points: I'm not sure about having my books fondled (grin) and how did Simon sign one book in 44AD?

OK, that's me signed up and watching stuff.
Just to be pedantic, Simon/Alex, your drop-down list of countries does not include 'Channel Islands' or 'Guernsey', so I've had to register under 'United Kingdom'. Bah, humbug!
Does the book fondling come free with p&p?

I have found a problem! From Forum we can go there by click "home" but from there, there aren't any key to return here!
And inside each main subject we also can't return to the Home page, because the key "home", return principal menu that subject! Is this correct?

Hi Nisia,
At the moment there is no link back to the main portal, we're working on it.
As to you other problem, i cant seem to replicate it, can you give an example so i can follow in your footsteps.
If your talking about the shop the home page link at the top of the screen will return you to the main homepage of the shop. if you wish to return to the Scarrow Portal, you can click on the little www.scarrow.co.uk link in the header image, (just below the faces of Simon and Alex.)

Nice design, pity about the disappearing click boxes. I really hate that style, one has to wave the cursor all over a page to find out if there are any links on it. And the Newsletter doesn't show up at all for me. Maybe there isn't one there yet, similar to the vanished blogs it just hasn't been linked yet?

Let me see if I can explain. At main page, the first one, it show 3 options, after we came in one of then I can return at main page.
Inside that options, there are a key saying "home" but not to main page.

Have to say the new youwrite site works brilliantly!!, coments have started, its great to see others ideas as well, I know its given me the bug again, i had got so caught up and tired at work that i'd stopped writing, but now im back tapping away.
I know what i will be doing at lunch time today, another 500-1000 words i hope!!

Hi,
I would assume your talking about the YOUWRITEonline site?
when your a browser there's isn't much to see, you need to click the register link to create a username and password (much like when you joined the forum) then you will get all the options.
I think you confusing the "Home" link on this forum that links back to the main scarrow site.
The "Home" link on YOUWRITEonline is back to the main page of that site.
I hope that makes more sense, if not let me know.

I find other problem  your registration doesn't accept words with accent. My name is Nísia and when I put it, he says, "registration failed because your username have invalids characters", so what? This forum accept why not the site?

Beside the info about regarding the thread there is two zeros. Was under the impression that these zeros are a counter too indicate the number of threads posted under that topic...maybe not then. :-)

I also go direct, but a graphic with sound shows that some time was spent on it, and its a profesional site not some cheap off the shelf job *cough*

BTW, i emailed all my customers today to point the way to the new scarrow shop, so i hope they will join up soon, but most will probably wait for the first book they want before joining...lazy bunch sometimes LOL!!
I hope it will also add forum members and writers to the other site.

The page has sound? I didn't heard yet, because I use ear-phones but most time I don't use them

another minor point for the main site, when you click the newsletter it takes you to the page where it says spring 2007 but the words in the top left dont make it obvious that if you click them then there is new there, its just looks like no info with a more info coming soon tag!
