she did give Caesar a son from a Helvetii Princess though??
she also has Titus Pullo as primipilus and Lucius Vorenus as pilus prior

Currently reading The Third Policeman by Flann O'brien. Without doubt, the most surreal thing I've ever read. Don't ask me what it's about, because I don't know!

So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!”

just finished reading Judas strain by James Rollins...a bloody good thriller (adventure) , lots of fights , battle and body count , there is intrigue and plot, very fast pace while they find the source of the deadly virus that threatens to destroy the world...with a nice hook out to Marco polo being involved...

all in all a fun read.

onto deep storm by Lincoln child

Not a Novel, but I'm currently reading "How to Write a Thriller" by Scott Mariani and it's really easy to read and very useful. It's providing me with loads of advice on the type of novel I want to write. And it's also very entertaining.

Just read Vulcan 607 by Rowland White. Thanks to Mace recommending it in the old thread. Really enjoyed it . I thought the author did a great job of telling the story and kept the narrative going at a good pace.

Just about to start "The Twighlight Watch" by Sergei Lukyanenko

currently about 2/3rds the way through Man of Honour by Ian Gale.
Not too and so far, but is reading just like a Sharpe book, set a hundred years earlier, but thats about it nothing new as yet.
The evil British officer (Jennings) just comes across as Simerson through and through and his sidekick sergeant (stringer) comes across just like Hakeswil.
I will reserve judgment until the end.

Just started Great Military Blunders. It beggars(sic?) belief sometimes, when you think about those who are put in charge of the lives of others!
