Well first of all I should add a huge thanks to Simon for the blurb!
I'm doing some signings up and down the country this month (where I'll sit in Borders and be ignored by everyone), but also if you can't make the signings, then please email me at russell_whitfield@hotmail.com and I can pass on my address, send us the book, I'll sign it and send it back.
I should also say at this point that I don't want to hijack this thread!

Dont worry, at least its relevant to the thread rather than our usual off topic stuff...and i set it up for a nice full response...
So scarrowags...get out there and support a fellow wag by buying a copy.
Russ can you give us the store locations and dates for signing?

Just finished reading "Blood River" by Tim Butcher
Synopsis When "Daily Telegraph" correspondent Tim Butcher was sent to cover Africa in 2000 he quickly became obsessed with the idea of recreating H. M. Stanley's famous expedition - but travelling alone. Despite warnings that his plan was 'suicidal', Butcher set out for the Congo's eastern border with just a rucksack and a few thousand dollars hidden in his boots. Making his way in an assortment of vessels including a motorbike and a dugout canoe, helped along by a cast of characters from UN aid workers to a campaigning pygmy, he followed in the footsteps of the great Victorian adventurers. Butcher's journey was a remarkable feat, but the story of the Congo, told expertly and vividly in this book, is more remarkable still.
About the Author Born in 1967, Tim Butcher has worked for the Daily Telegraph since 1990 as foreign affairs leader writer, defence correspondent and Africa Bureau Chief. He is currently living in Jerusalem where he is the Telegraph’s Middle East correspondent.
Excellent book, I only had a vague knowledge of the history of the Democratic Republic of the Congo before reading the book, and found this really interesting. Gets a big thumbs up.
Currently reading "A Flag of Truce" by David Donachie.
......... and being a sucker for marketing i just bought a copy of Gladiatrix |

Hmm, Russ I'm not sure if this is even allowed, but you can always do a special self publish print run in HB, LULU.com comes to mind. but not sure if your publisher will allow it. If they do, you can sign, lined doodle them what ever and sell them for a small profit.

Hi Lanista, I just bought my copy from Amazon. I'll pm you for your address to send it to you for signing, if you don't mind. I can't make any of your signings unfortunately.
