I haven't read 'Generals' yet. I was waiting for a clear spell of nothing-to-do-lying-in-the-sun moment, and now seems the right time!

Think of Headline as the fleet based at Misenum, then think of Simon's series of books as a galley amongst the fleet, then think that below the decks, hidden in the depths of the ship are the rowers. Thats us boys, the scarrowags, keeping things ticking along... If those typos are there Simon, well by god, we'll find em, every one... and then some!

But unfortunately, I'm off on my hols in 9 days, cruising around the middle sea, on a ship, not a galley, and without oars. (hopefully).

Audaces fortuna iuvat!

As long as the Scarrowag rowers aren't like the ones in the old beer advert. Remember that beer that refreshed the parts other beers couldn't reach? The Roman galley slaves were given in on one side of the boat, and the next shot had a rather camp Roman crying out "Thtop, thtop, we're going round in thircles!"

I wouldn't bet on that Andy! I've got an infection in one eye with treatment that leaves me with fuzzy vision, so I might have missed almost anything.

I started but I haven't got the time to finish it. In any case, I'm sure John has spotted them all. I like the howler on page 79 though.
