There is a film (not new) called October Skies being shown on sky movies, I assume its based on a novel of some sort rather than a screen play. I only caught a glimse and it seemed to be set around early 20th Century. Are you familar with this film Alex and is the name a problem?

I've just read this thread.....great title, Alex! I sent Last Light to a friend in Canada and he came back. with rave reviews. Only six more novels to go before you get onto the best seller list. Or are you aiming on beating Simon's score?

Hi Ankhys....release is slated for hardback in August as far as I know. Hopefully, if LL does well in paperback, there'll be an added momentum for this 3rd book.
Fast Paul....just checked on IMDB, October Skies was a film set in 1950's about a young boy inspired by the launch of Sputnik. Nothing for me to worry about there :-) |

the book is due for released in August I believe, so keep your reading diary open for then.

i always use please and thank you and then put a flower after my Shop name in the siggy! {grin} have had quite a few of the ladies at publishers say how much they appreciate the flowers as a thank you even if they are digital, those people get taken for granted too much.

Where did anyone get the idea that being retired means having nothing to do? Rest assured, both Andy and Parm, that if you _did_ win the lottery and retire you owners would have plenty of things for you to do - decorating, tidyingup, keeping the garden looking good, etc. Not to mention taking her shopping!
