Still waiting for my book.

Mine has just arrived (Hooray!) so yours should be with you soon, Anhsy. But oh woe, woe and thrice woe! (not Macbeth to Banquo, the Scottish Play Act IV scene II but Senna the soothsayer in almost every episode of Up Pompei.) My wife has pinched it to give me for a Valentine's pressie so I can't start reading it till Saturday. On the other hand, her pressie of a new bureau probably won't arrive till some time next week, grin.
Cheers

That's no good, Andy, she's always in the same room when I unwrap parcels and hears me say "oh goody!".

Just finished Fire and Sword. I have to say it`s one of the most intelligently written books I have ever had the pleasure to read. Congratulations on a rip roaring addition to the series Simon, it really elevates you to the top of the pile in historical fiction and fiction in general, or to put it another way "bloody fab mate."
It`s true that opposite`s attract! Thats why your surrounded by beautiful, intelligent, happy people! |

Why does my copy talk about "the No1 bestseller"? Did F&S get to number 1 or did Centurion? The highest I saw Centurion was about 35 in The Times Bestseller list.

| Centurion got to number 1 in hardback in the Daily Telegraph charts (which is based on Waterstones figures I think). |

I've just noticed a new book by Edward Marston entitled "Fire & Sword" published on 5th October.

Hi All and Simon (of course)
My first post! As with all Simon's fans, I've thoroughly enjoyed the Revolution Series. I've read several books about Wellington and Napoleon, having had my interest fired by Cornwell and Sharpe! The ability to weave such an exciting insight into already well established history is fascinating - and so well done too!
Keep up the great work Simon and I hope you feel better soon.
Jonathan. |
