Thought it might be fun to have a quiz...post a question, the person who answers it correctly posts the next question...
When was it? who did it? and why was the marathon extended from 26 miles to 26 miles and 385 yards?
(thought i'd make it topical)

It's based upon the original London Marathon course, which at the time measured that distance, hence it was adopted. something to do with the start point and finish point being royal boxes. cannot remember the year though.
Don't ask me why I remember some of that...

close enough, queen alexandra couldnt see the finish line so had it extended to under the royal box, in 1908...your go!!
