So what films do yu think should never have been made

Ill start with the Star Wars prequals

Moriarty: I see that ten years in Britain have not changed your Imperial Roman outlook, Caesar.
Caesar (G): True, Moriartus, always a Roman eye.
Moriarty: Will you take wine?
Caesar: No thanks, I think I'll have a half of mild and a packet of crisps.

Rollerball remake - simply awful screwup of a great 70's scifi classic for the current generation of over-sugared ADD-affected, hoody-wearing rugrats.

Doomsday - Neil Marshal (Dog Soldiers) should never be allowed to waste another pound of British-sourced movie money ever again.

There are many more...but my blood pressure is beginning to rise and I'm seeing sparkly dots everywhere.

There Will Be Blood - the most dire, dull and pretentious pile of offal I have seen in years.
9 Songs - ditto
Ali G in Da House - always best in small doses, Ali G wears thin very quickly.
The desperately poor last Indiana Jones movie.

300 - The true story wasn't epic enough, so they had to nmake a movie of a comic instead? The mind boggles. Such a wasted opportunity.

I would say MEET THE SPARTANS, GREEN STREET 2(the first one was quite good though), DISASTER MOVIE and the ROLLERBALL remake.

Transformers1 and 2: I could write paragraphs on why Michael Bay should be not allowed near either a camera or any cannisters of inflammable liquid. Suffice to say, with regard to talent he is a true dwarf amongst giants.

Shrek 3: you can see the writing team were getting well and truly tired of the whole sassy fairy tale world shtick.

Drag me to hell: purile, childish and not 'ironic' or 'clever'. How the heck critics have managed to label this a 'horror classic' I'll never understand. In fact it was so bad in one particular scene I laughed out loud in the cinema (as did most of the audience).

Disagree about Transformers, Alex. One of the best film I’ve ever seen at the cinema.

But for really bad films, see any of the Aliens franchise since the second/third, especially AvP. Predator 2 was p*ss poor, too.
The remake of King Kong (brought nothing new to the story), anything by Rob Zombie (just mindless torture porn), Cat in the Hat (painfully OTT).
Spiderman 3 was a hash, trying to fit in too many villains and stories.
Any of Matrix sequals (like Lost, they really had no idea how to finish the story).

one that should never have been made - The Postman -
the original book by David Brin was brilliant - the film by Costner was absolutely terrible

I till havent seen the passion of chirst. Sorry but the idea of watching my Lord and Saviour being tortured and hung on a cross would drive me tear or to be sick.

Low budget horror... does that include Dog Soldiers Parm?

Any DVD with a higher percentage of pink on the box to any other colour!

Sum Of All fears. The film that killed off any more Jack Ryan movies.

Small world. I watched Sum of All Fears as part of a Morgan Freeman boxed set while I was laid up in bed this last week. Have to say that I enjoyed it, despite Ben Affleck. It came as something of a surprise that the film didn't pull its punches nearly as much as previous Ryan movies, however the end phase was drawn out far too long and a lot of the tension drained away. By the end I was getting pretty impatient and just wanted them to either save the world, or just get on and destroy it, but just get it over with.

Now if you want to see one of the all time great thrillers (if you haven't already seen it) then get hold of a copy of Seven Days in May.

I would say any spoof films with "Movie" at the end. After Scary Movie, the rest were dire and made me no want to live anymore!

Any American remake of a classic British movie!!! . If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!

Chick flicks. Simply because I'm sick of having to go and see them with my wife!

The worst thing about PotC, Stomachus, is that is managed to be boring. I borrowed it from the library just to see what the hype was about, and it was astonishingly dull. As a Christian I should have found it powerful and moving - but it was quite the reverse.

On films which should never have been made, Lost in Space was the only time I have watched a film and actually felt I'd wasted a couple of hours of my life.
