Ok bit of fun, i will collate it all into a list and set up a poll, but first i need nominations.
What for you has been the best book of the last year. And sorry no Scarrows (nominations, they can nominate and vote... ), i think given the audience we have a certain Bias, so lets all say that All Scarrow books are excluded they both walk on water and we love their writing and then move on for the sake of this poll...

So nominations: The book must have been published in the last 12 months....thats it, thats the only rule i can think of, i will close the nominations next week on the 9th and set up the Poll and then you can Vote.

Im gonna go for Revelation by CJ Sansom.

There a great series, amazingly detailed and researched, different from other historical books, and i think this was the best in the series so far.

OK, I'l nominate one. The Last Centurion, by John Ringo (NOT the Beatle, and yes this one is related to the notorious Wild West outlaw). Not Roman, despite the title, it is a near future version of the Anabasis caused by a worldwide 'flu pandemic (bird, not pig flu)and the resulting breakdowns in society. Also somewhat of a diatribe against incompetent politicians!

I once worked in the games business for an American producer called Randy Wanch. And yup...he pronounced it, in all seriousness, to rhyme with, yup, you guessed it....'tank'.

Nice guy. He struggled though, when EA posted him UK-side to oversee our team. Everyone was always giggling at his name.

The newest book by Tim Dorsey had me rolling on the floor! I hated to finish it! Awesome book by an amazing author who is a master of his genre.
