Hi Simon, will those of us who have collected the Legion series in paperback form, have to wait over a year for Gladiator to be published in our chosen format as per Centurion? Regards, John Pearson

Hi JohnP and welcome, according to Amazon the Paperback version is due for release in February next year, although that will prob change, depending on level of sales of the HB. Hope that helps

Hey there, Last weekend I ordered "The Gladiator" from the German version of Amazon (amazon.de), where they listed it as a "Taschenbuch", which is the German word for paperback. What I got is in my opinion an oversized (ca 22x14cm) paperback copy. The quality looks exactly like my copy of "Centurion" which should be paperback. Is that supposed to be hardback? Or is it in fact paperback and the book format is just getting bigger and bigger? (http://ascarion.net/IMG_9654.JPG - See what I mean?) ;)

Hi Ascarion,
You probably have whats called a trade paperback or Export/airport Edition. they are the same size as the HB but have soft covers.

So if I bought the book in UK it would actually have been a real hardcover? That sounds like a strange thing to do to me. *shrugs* Thanks for enlightening me. |

In the UK, those large 'airport editions' paperbacks come out as the same time as the hardbacks but are normally sold only at airports (they are lighter to take along than the hardback). However, I've never seen them advertised as hardbacks.

I prefer to read a book in HB. Just feels better to me. However i couldn't find a copy of Under The Eagle in HB form but will keep looking.
