I'm afraid Andy has some domestic problems. Please have patience. He manages the Scarrowshop for nothing in his own spare time, and he works full time. I too am waiting for my 2nd book.

I just purchased a Waterstone version of the book from the UK. I was very disappointed that I could not get the CE. For myself, I am quite thrilled, I had no idea this was the case about the CE's. I have been away from the forum for a while and did not find out about The Gladiator until yesterday. I ran right to Barnes and Noble and guess what...they had no idea about the book and could not order it. I cant tell you how unhappy I was. I purchased the signed Waterstone book with the extra story for $42.00 U.S.
Has anyone read the book yet?

CE's are from the scarrow shop only mate! {grin}
but at least you have a signed waterstones copy!
and i think most have read the book, once you have pop into the review thread and let us know what you think.

Trust me I want a CE, I would rather directly support Simon than Waterstone.
I am about 100 pages in, I downloaded the ebook from waterstone after I bought the hard copy, I just could not wait and seen on here that the ebook was out in the UK. Great so far. I will let you know, I should finish in a day or 2. Then comes the wait all over again for number 10!! |

Thanks, I spoke with Andy and he has one for me. Cant wait!!
I should finish The Gladiator by Monday night, I will let you know what I think. I am nursing it a bit because when it's done I know I will be having another very long wait. I did read the Cato short story in the Waterstone copy, I did enjoy that very much. Have you read it? and what did you think? Any way to get my hands on the Macro short?

ebay is your best bet look for people selling the waterstones edition of the previous book and it will have the short story in it.
the only other way is to start a campaign for simon to get his short stories published seperatly.
you should also look out a book call the book of roman whodunnits as simon has a short story in there as well.
