I'm not sure if this books been brought up before, but this novel (and apperently meant to be a trilogy) is perhaps one of my most enjoyed books i've read which delves into medeival history.

with an amazing cast of characters i think Tim captures the harsh realities of life back then (1500ish) perfectly. A really gritty bloody novel with plenty of brilliant battle scenes I couldn't recommend the book more.

I was also wondering if anyone has heard anything about when the second book is being published? as i can't seem to find anything about it.

frustrating, read he spent 10 years writing the first one, lets just hope he doesn't spend 10years writing this one :(
