First one of his I have tried and can't say that I am enjoying it. The narrational voice is a bit smug and just a bit obvious. Whenever a new character is introduced we get a pretty pointless biography of the character and their indiosyncracies and some of the writing is very slack and poorly thought through. There's no suspense since everything is spelled out and frankly I can not work up any concern for any of the characters.

Having finally got some time to catch up on a few novels can be a bit dispiriting at times...

Harlan Coben is not a patch on Len Deighton.

I never really got on with any of his books except his Myron Bolitar Novels try his first one DEAL BREAKER - 1st Myron Bolitar Novel.

there is quite a bit more grit and humour in them.
