Just back from the post office. I have put all the copies I had in the mail now, so there's just a few left with Andy to go out. Apologies to all concerned.
We will need to have a rethink about Scarrowshop.co.uk and see what we can do to sort things out for the future.

| LOL. I guess I had forgot how long it takes for books to get from England to the US. Still waiting, but its usually 6 weeks for some reason. |

Just be glad they went out when they did, looks like there is going to be a national post strike over here.

Really? Thats harsh. Not sure if it will go all that well for them since email/texting/online bill paying seems to be taking all the income from post offices. Ours isnt doing all that well either.
Last time I was in England, I bought 20 or 30 books in London, mailed from Canterbury, spent 2 weeks on country, and beat my books back, lol.
God england has such wonderful bookstores (Waterstones is an exception, its nice, but pretty regular)

Im more into both ends of the social side. I love doing work in London for the fast paced thousands that are trying to get somewhere, then again i like Foreign places where you can have a decent conversation with anyone that walks past.

I don't know how to say this, but my book must be jinxed. I had make my pre-order at end of July month. I had saw August passed and nothing. I had sent two email to Andy and no answer.I began to worry about that. Then I wrote to Simon and he told me what had happened and apologize for delay. Ok, I felt better but it was pity Andy didn't tell me sooner. Now Simon had sent them by post almost a month and I received nothing! I don't believe the mail spend all this time from England to Portugal! After all this this time and money I had spent I'm beginning to be angry and annoy for I didn't read the story yet!

Simon - as some one used to sending stuff abroad, might i suggest when you send it as the post office to use the Swift air service. Its not too expensive, its trackable and insured. (I use it to send books to the USA and Europe all the time and its very reliable)

Thanks a lot Simon I will send you my address and I hope the other book did happen the same a friend's letter. She lives in Florida and last August she had sent to me a letter containing a cheque and generally ten days I receive it. This time passed a month and nothing, I told her to cancel that cheque and send me another. Last week I received the letter with a post mark saying "Missing at Bermudas". I don't know if it has happened the same to your book but if I receive the missing book I promise to return to you.

Andy, I hope you did not forget about me...lol. I am sure you did not. Any time frame when I should see the CE copy? I have been trying to reach you with no response. I am not upset at all, just want to make sure that everything is OK and I will still be getting the CE with the manuscript.
Off the subject a bit, but I ordered some books from the UK last month, from a guy on ebay, the Waterstone signed copy of Gladiator and The slipcase Gemmel signed book of Troy Lord Of The Silver Bow. They were 2 seperate transactions. Both were on my doorstep within 4 days Royale Air Mail, on both occassions. So I have had pretty good luck so far with the UK Post. |

Anyone out there???
I have written PM's and emails to Andy with no response. It's been about 5 or 6 weeks now since I paid him for the CE edition of Gladiator. He said he had a couple left and he would hold one, I made payment via Paypal and he said he would get it out as soon as he could. I even voluntarily paid extra to make up for the Paypal fee's, so the Scarrow shop would not have to get stuck with them. I have not been in a hurry at all to get it, but would like to know that my money was spent for something I am going to be getting at some point. I just cant seem to get anybody to respond. I have sent at least 8 or 9 pm's (lost count), a couple emails and thought that a post last week on here might get some attention by someone!. After a while you sart to get the feeling that your being ignored for a reason. |

Try Simon. Andy told me that he passed all the books he had to Simon for him to sort and post out.

Seems like most that have not arrived were the ones sent to the USA. Not 100% sure though. Does make it fun to go to the mailbox every afternoon hoping for a nice eye treat |

a tip for anyone in the UK sending a parcel to the US use Swift air, its a bit more expensive, but i have never had one go missing and they are tracked and insured. (another example of royal mail at its best, not what they show you in the paper)

| All that I had from Andy were posted, and two extra orders besides. It really is best to ask Andy for the chapter and verse on this as he has all the order details etc. I'm very sorry for any delay caused to customers of the shop but it has been a busy and stressful time for all concerned. |

Parm, Thanks, If you could get in touch with Andy that would be great and I would owe you.
Simon, I very much appreciate you responding, and I am sure it has not been easy for you with all of us screaming fans wanting the books yesterday. My only concern is I paid Andy the money via paypal, Like I said, I even sent extra on my own as to avoid paypal charges to the Scarrow Shop. Anyways, I have tried PM's, email and forum posting with no answer at all!. I have been trying to be very patient, as you are my all time favorite fictional history writer. But frankly speaking, I am worried that I will never see what I purchased or get a refund on the $67.00 I paid. I intend no disrespect to you in any manner by saying this and I hope you do not take it as such, in fact I appoligize for obviously continuing a sore subject, but I do not think that one quick reply about what is happening with my book or my money is to much to ask. I am sure you have many more fans in the UK than in the U.S., but the people I know that read your books are quite taken with your work as am I. If Andy sent the book he would have let me know just to shut me up, if he did not send the book and there is no more to send, why not give a refund and explaine?...but I have heard nothing at all in almost 8 weeks. That does not lead me to believe that I am considered a valued cutomer or a the loyal fan I am. It is your name that is on the cover of the books that we all love, forgive me for saying, but it is also your name that is being represented here and now through unanswered PM's and emails, they may be going through Andy, but its still your name.
I hope I have not offended you Simon or anyone else, that is not my intent. I would love nothing more than to get the CE and manuscript but will live with a refund. Knowing either way would make my day, and I could stop running to the mail box everyday!...lol |
