To be honest the books are v good, i've read most of them and they're easy reads.i managed to read the Gladiator in less than two days, and I thought it was really good especially when adding in Ajax from a previous novel. but the problem is that it is too predictable, it was obvious that Julia and Macro were going to survive. I woyuld have liked Julia to die due to the unpredictability about it. Im wondering, will there be more books on the line? 'cause I want to read them. Sorry for the bad english

Hey MRT, I would have liked Julia to die too. I agree that these "happy endings" are too predictable. Maybe Simon is lulling us into a false sense of comfort and suprise us with something completely different in the next book.

| this is a little morbid, wishing a poor young roman girl, little more than a child, whos deep love for cato has seen her nearly killed (more than once), death! poor poor julia, may the cruel roman gods bless her soul |

Nah! kill her i say! will make for a great plot line...image the fury of Macro and Cato...ouch now thats a plot line i'd like to read...more like a force of nature than a fighting duo.

Had Macro killed her in Gladiator, can you imagine Catos' fury? Now that's a great plot!
Can we start a "Kill Julia" campaign?

i think its more anger that the boys have lost a bit of their ...hootspa..oomph...mojo..aggression. a good spot of murder would get them going again.
