General Dannat has been appointed Constable of the Tower of London - a Royal appointment that shows how the Queen thinks of the General, even though Brown has tried to rubbish him.

It's classic smear tactics. if you can't rubbish the idea, rubbish the person. Unfortunately, if you throw a lot of mud at anyone, even the whitest of lilies, some of it will stick.
