There's this latin phrase which I came across, and I can't find out what it means. So much for all those years I put in at GCSE not so long ago...
The phrase is:

"Pilate in credo"

Any ideas?

What you think to be "I belive in Pilatus"?
It's strange, but that's what I can get.

Yeah, that's what I came up with! I'm beginning to have a sneaking suspicion that it doesn't actually mean anything...

It could mean "armed with a javelin I think". Does that make sense?

"It's hard to work in a group when you're omniscient."

So it would be "I believe in more concrete things"???
As an opposite to "I believe you should do what you think must be done"?

What is the context of the phrase?

"It's hard to work in a group when you're omniscient."

It's off a computer game - the main character's returning from hunting to find his house taken over by Soviets. It's obviously not that important, it just bugged me 'cause I did latin for GCSE 2 years ago, and I can't remember a word!

I remember "pilatus" meaning "to be armed with the pilum" (javelin). in credo couls also mean 'I rely on'. So the phrase, in that context, could mean 'I rely on my [being armed with] a javelin'.
