If you've just arrived here for the first time, it would be really helpful to us to know how you got here. We have a poll in another thread in this forum and here's the link to it....

http://scarrow.forumco.com/topic~TOPIC_ID~517.asp

So just select the description that best describes how you found us.

Thanks.

Hi, I'm new to the forum (this is my first post). I found the site after reading 'The Eagle's Prophecy' and was searching the web for more info on the books in the hope that another title was in the offing - having seen the references to 'Eagle in the Sand' it seems my search was not in vain

Think I just Googled "Scarrow" after I read the first book, because I knew Bernard Cornwell has a very good website and I wondered about you guys.

I bought a copy of The Eagles Prophecy the other week in Bury St Edmunds (it was a signed copy too, bonus! ) and got a bookmark with the website, so just checked it out and signed up!

I just bought Eagle's Conquest from Books etc in Moorgate. It was a signed copy and came with a Scarrow.co.uk bookmark.

I absolutely devoured the first book and couldn't wait to find out what happened next.

I googled 'Simon Scarrow' several months ago. At the time I'd read three of the Eagle novels,I've read six now. Firtst one I read was found on a market stall in Leeds - I was actually looking for something else. Anyway they didn't have what I was looking for but I saw Eagle's Conquest and it looked like it was right up my street. It was.

I did a google search and it brought me to this great site. I've read the first four books in the "Eagle" series and I couldn't put them down until I was finished. As of yet, I haven't seen Alex's work here in the states. Hopefully that changes really soon. That's right, I'm a yank. But take it easy on me since I'm moving to the UK in March. Now I'm off to lurk in the forums for a while.

Welcome Matt, Lurk away my friend and sounds like you've seen the light as your moving to the UK...hehe
I'm not sure if Alex's work has reached the states yet, but I think you should be able to order via Amazon or maybe even a US EBay seller, failing that, wait until you get over here and you'll be able to get the rest of the eagles and Simon's new series on Napoleon and Wellington as well As Alex's work, with his new one out next year also.

So Matt's moving to the UK.

A few tips: Don't live anywhere south of the M4, East of the M5 or North of the M56.

I found the sight doing a google search after reading the first few Eagle books. Which I found by recommendation on Amazon after purchasing some Alfred Duggan... which came from Steven Saylor... which came from John Maddox Roberts. Odd how reading can take you all over the place.

A long while ago, I managed to buy a book called "The Coritani". This was over 15yrs ago, when "ta indanet" was just begining. Created the Screen name Coritani, and used it ever since.

Always took a great interest in the Romans, and one day looking over Amazon stumbled across the books we all love. Bought all 7, and read them the last month hehe.

I wanted more, on the off chance noticed the website detailed on the back of The Eagles Prophecy, and went looking. First thing is the website, second thing I find is the forum, third thing I find is "Coritanian"

So here I am.

Coritanian - Sorry for highjacking your name! I was pretty surprised I was able to get my favourite screen name :).
