That's right, Tincommius was the nephew who pretended he was pro-Roman and tried to point the finger for the King's death at another guy who was in fact the Roman spy...or something like that.

Why the hell do you guys post here when you can't even remember the book these forums are all about?
YES! Tincommius was nephew of King Verica who tried to kill him but Artax barely stopped him and died because Tincommius killed him when all the other people from the hunting party arrived to see what the comotion was all about. And no the king does not die in The Eagle and the Wolves. What I don't understand is what happened to Cato's boar he killed? It was pretty much ignored. |

| I think if there's been an attempted regicide, the results of the boar hunt would be the last thing on anyone's mind. |

acamas put a cork in it will you, we can read many books and not remember which character is where. besides it's great talking about a plot twist like this.
Should put a note on the subject don't read if you not read the book |

| I usually remember what I read. Even a book I read over 7 years ago called Island of the Blue dolphins, or Summer of the monkeys, where the red fern grows.... |

Acamas there is no need for that kind of attitude! people can read an enjoy a book without remebering every single character and page and nuance of a book, they can come here and find out about the books and the authors and characters without having read a page!
Great you have a good memory, or maybe you just finished reading the book and others here have not read it in quite a while.
So to be blunt , Put a sock in it and dont be rude!

Acamas, I totally agree with Parmenion, Bully for you that you can remember everything you have read, but some of us have greater concerns in life. If you feel the only way you can post to this forum is to be rude or inflame the other more regular and constructive members, then be so kind to butt out.
Please feel free to post and be constructive, we are very open to even debate and discussions, but deliberately being rude will not be tolerated. I do hope this can be resolved without having to resort to your posts becoming moderated by Simon or Alex as we are trying very hard to not be that sort of forum!

I can barely remember what day it is, let alone what I read two years ago. A situation that can lead to some interesting conversations.... "what d'you mean, why aren't I in the office? I thought it was Saturday?... Monday you say?... oops!!"

well I remember very well, all things I had read in 6 books, because what make me delight in a story it's small tails, like cacht the enemy in situation very unpleasant. One in Eagle's Conquest and the other Eagle's Prey. |

Again, I never said I remembered EVERYTHING and every page in the book. Remember, it is just one character in one huge event of one book! I read "To Kill a mocking bird" only once two years ago and remember most of the main characters, like Adacus, Heck Tate, Boo Radly, Calpernia... And I hated that book and never even read much of it. But it's not that hard to remember. Feel free to mention any character from the Emperor series, or even the eagle series and I'll remember it. What's funny is that people tell me I have a bad memory, I guess not... :p
Anyway, Eagle and Wolves makes a better mystery plot than "And then there were None". Yes that also threw me off but the book also made no sense at the same time and was very boring unlike Scarrows book. |

Acamas why do you come here when all you do is wind people up??? Or is that your party piece, wind people up and get the attention as any attention will do if you can't get it by being nice.
Some books you have to go beyond what the person is saying through the writing, if not then always read the back of the book for what it's about.

LC you have seen straight through Acamas on the conn iggulden site he is well known for being inflamitory just for the sake of it. Connlets him get away with it, and IMHO has done too to great an extent, and has now created a forum Monster.
Well sorry Acamas not here!!, the people here have spoken and the result is Button it! or be nice!

So have we, hence the big red STOP sign we have showed, should Acamas continue, we will refer to the brothers for an official reprimand... , but we'd rather not do that if we can help it.

Handbags at dawn? Have I missed a spat? Damn - I love a good slanging match.
Acnamadness: Can you remember the name of the Centurion who died and left his gladius to Cato, and, what was written on said sword? - in Latin if you please. (without looking it up).
