6. Jof - candidate for the U.J.M (Universal Jofalist Movement)
7. Drosdelnoch - candidate for the Make Britain Great party
(candidates if you have an idea for you party name, PM me and I'll edit the above list to include it)
Election Day is: FRIDAY 18th AUGUST. On that day in the morning, I'll open a poll, and then close it in the evening.
During the campaigning period ahead of us (which is now...til election day) I'll open 'test' polls....for one day periods so we can all get an idea how things are going. (think of them as MORI polls)
ALLOWED:
-Campaigning can take any form, candidates can deride each other and their policies,
-Debates can be flippant or very heated and serious. Up to you.
-You can bribe, cajole, encourage, other forum members to vote for you
-Hell...you can encourage strangers in the street to come join the forum...just to vote for you, if you want.
NOT ALLOWED:
-Keep the campaining out of Simon and My novels forums. Anybody who dips in there for a bit of canvassing will be automatically disqualified.
-No candidates are allowed to register in the forum under an alias. I should warn you that every new member request generates an email that I get, and can check. And knowing this is campaign season, I WILL be checking these. Anyone caught registering under an alias will be disqualified.
-I reserve the right to ban a candidate or even pull the election if things get too nasty, or weird, or i think you guys are frightening away normal people ;-). At the end of the day it's for fun, to provoke a little thought...but if it starts hurting the forum in any way...I ogotta pull the plug.
Okay, I think we're done here. Let campaigning commence!
