Slipped out last night was an announcement that our beloved leaders have decided to give £252 million to India for work with women and children. Huh? They can't afford to spend the money on drugs for bowel cancer, but can afford to give it to a country that spends its own cash on nuclear weapons and missiles instead of on its people?
Am I the only one who thinks there's something skewed in the thinking of Tony and his cronies?

Hey what the hell is going on here, we cannot afford to keep our own Hosipitals going, our own schools, not to mention the army! What the hell is this Government coming to?
I believe it is time to "Impeach" this government and re-elected new people in who KNOW what the have to do, and beleive in "Serving" their country - not other countries.

I would just scrap foreign aid and put all the money into sorting out the UK's needs (schools & hospitals). Whatever happened to charity beginning at home?

The Goverments decision makes some sense. With alot of India's neighbours very anti-west, their trying to buy them over. Looks better to say that they spent £252 million trying to help civilions, rather than better arming soldiers.
Not saying it's the right choice, but given how thing stand in the middle east these days, I'm not sure that there is one. |

Any of you guys been to india?
Its horrid, backward and medeavil. This money will be a drop in the ocean but if it furthers womens and childens rights then its a good spend... if done properly.
How many years was the aid over btw?
