how long as Macro been in the service of the legions? because if he has been there for quite a while to be a centruion how will he be at that place under Titus? theres was about 3-4 years in Britain i think, then the 10 years with Vespasian as Emperor, he won't have long left of his service will he?

prob get offered some juicy position (whip the Preatorians into shape etc) to get him to stay, maybe cheif of securty for Vespasian...hehe

macro political?? yeah right, that is when cato runs the show and macro shouts at people ...with some glowering as well of course!
He is not subtle enough for politics. although the rough attitude might make a refreshing change in the halls of power! {grin}

hey i wasnt talking about subtle politics, it was more of dealing with unruly people who cause Vespasian problems...sort of the 2x4 of diplmacy (do as i say or i'll smack you over the head with a length of 2x4) hehe

I like Andy's idea of Macro being put in charge of the Praetorian Guards. He would lick them into shape. I think we could see Macro learning a thing or two from Cato's political awareness.
