Hi Nab these look great but I'm having problems with the link, some kind of sign up screen comes up when I paste the url into the browser. By the way Mr Scarrow is what cold calling glazing people call me. It's just Simon here.

these are excellent, are you trying for a full graphic novel version of the books?

Hi Nab, now I've got those links working. Excellent work! Love the pictures. What are you planning to do with them? I agree with Parm - a graphic novel would be a great idea. A kind of Asterix with no magic potion, no puns and lots of violence. Any thoughts?

Brilliant, I can see them now. I'm glad to see you included Macro's torque around his neck, Nab....funny thoughm I always imagined Narcisus as a slightly overweight guy with longish hair and ringlets. Your Narcisus is more my image of Vitellius.

Parmenion was old! Certainly not with your cherubic features, Parm. At his age, his hair colour would have been the least of Parmenion's worries.

Hi there Guys
here's a couple more - hope ya like em - and this photobucket seems to work quite well - shame about the thumbnails though-
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l88/jonray1000/boudicamacro.jpg
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l88/jonray1000/vitelliusmodel.jpg
Thanks Simon - and thank you for creating great characters and stories - still waiting for the Sand 2 get here in Oz - oh and Simon do the drawings of Cato and Macro look anything like how you imagined them?
Parmenion - damn now i'll have to go and find your character - which book was it so i can have a read? and if i do a pic i promise not to make him too old and I'll make sure i'll give him blonde hair - heheh - glad ya like the pics
gidday Ankhsy - I sort of modelled him from when he confronts the legionnaires - Simon had a great description of him - and very glad you noticed Macro's torc 2 - but i have to disagree with you about Vitellius - he's got to be the hansome bastard as you can see i've tried to do above - but you can just tell he's a manipulating, devious bugger -
AndyCanty - Excellent! glad ya liked the Burns reference there - cheers
oh and Parmenion and Simon - a graphic novel could be an idea - dunno if i could do it though ya probably need a pro for something like that - but at the moment just having fun with drawing and developing some of the characters and specific scenes
WarrenH - still drawing, inking and photoshoping away
anyhow glad you guys enjoyed the pics and i'll try and post some more asap
cheers nab

Vesdpasian looks good, a real hard old man! i think you right with the druid, the upper half is just a smidge too big as are the hands.
but other wise a mean and moody Druid.

Nab all are fine, but I thing Vitellius has brown hair. In that time, I think, only the britain were blond. Vespasian look good, but could you make him a little more younger?

Love Vitellius' teeth! But he out to have dark hair...Latins weren't blonde.

I also love Vespasian's eyebrows...cool and authoritarian.

You are so talented, Nab!

oh bugger i just looked back at under the eagle - and Simon's description of vitellius is pretty damn clear - please excuse my artistic interpretation there i'll need 2 go back and redo Vitellius - but thanks to you guys who liked it and thanks 4U guys who pointed out there was something missing or wrong -
Parmenion glad ya like Vespasian and yeh i'll have to do a better one of the druids - and thanks again 4likin' my attempts at translating these characters to line and colour - hah! just wait till i try 4 Macro's Mum and Dad - now thats gunna be fun! cheers! Oh and yeah the blonde hair could have come into it as you pointed out by a naughty slave or even the celts - who had invaded Rome some 200 or 400 years before hand -
Nísia - i hear ya there dude - will re-examine that one and i dunno- Vespasian always seemed middleaged or old 2me and life had already taken a bit of a toll - mind you in my family genetics seems to give the male fella grey hairs and white pretty damn quick - which ain't a bad thing i can tell ya -
hah yes that woz the look i was trying for there AndyCanty - also alittle based on a 50's actor which i can't remember the name of at the mo - he has the same sorta nose and facial structure - he might have been a Yank or a Brit but just can' t place him - but anyhow glad ya liked the interpretation
thanks Ankhsy i was hoping the eyebrows and his look would give that off - even though Simon has given us another side 2him that worries about family and what people and society thinks of him - he seems a fella who just has to hold it all together- while also willing to be the guy who can associate and empathise with the common man - an amazing character Vespasian - the only guy who could fall asleep during one of Nero's plays or performances and still walk away with his head attached!!! - and yes i'll have to keep the teeth as an essential part of Vitellius - glad ya liked that part - just need to redo him some how -

Nope i meant autistic, no one is that good and normal!! (i can spell and do know the difference)

The images are great mate, i really think you should take it further and try for a asterix style graphic version of the eagle books, im sure simon would love to see them.

I know i for one would buy them!!

Vespasian's age? He was born in 9AD and the crossing to Britain was in 43AD, which makes him 34 at the time.

okay just trying this way of posting - hopefully it should work - anyway it's from a scene in "when the eagle hunts"
http://img157.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=15804_catodurotriganwarrior_122_377lo.jpg
AndyCanty - glad ya got a chuckle - it always struck me as a hilarious scene when Macro glares back at Cato - hah! damn Macro gets hit on the head alot
thanks Nísia - glad you like the pics
Parmenion - prague looks quite stunning an it looks like you're having fun there -oh and it would be nice to see a comic but i don't think i could do it - it really would need a professional comic book artist or cartoonist, etc - but thanks for the thought
cheers Ankhsy - 34 years old - that does help alot
