This is a great book that follows up to his earlier book "Virtues of War". It is set in Afghanastan during the Alexanders invasion and follows the story at a soldiers view.

Another book that I am about to start is The Ruins by Scott Smith.

Wish I was reading The Eagles Prophecy but it hasn't been released yet in the States to my knowledge. Altough The Eagle in the Sand is availible on Amazon wich has me flummoxed.

hi leedo and welcome,

you'll probably find that Prohecy will not get a US release.
The us publisher has pulled out of the publishing deal, and unless Simon can get another US publisher you'll have to import them from the UK. sorry.

Some US dealers on Ebay do have copies of Simons books so you might like to try there or possibly Abebooks.co.uk failing that if you hapy to deal privatly talk to Parmenion on here, he ca definalty sort you a PB or even a HB of prophecy and probablyt sands if you want them.

Thanks for that Information Andy... I have family that lives in both England and Ireland so I will have them mail me a copy since I am waiting in vain. I just ordered my copy of Eagle in the Sand and now I don't want to pick it up at the bookstore as I know I will want to read it right away. Damn publishers.

hey why do i get lower billing than US dealers and ABE books?? i should have top billing!!

I think the US publishers had commited to up to a certain book im not sure if the deal ended before Prophecy or not simon is the best placed to answer that one.

As to afghan campaign, i thought it so good i gave it to Alex and simon to read.
