Yeah. I'm just finishing up 'Gates of Fire' as well, the author goes into some extremely deep detail about some very minute things, which is the only problem I have in the whole series really.
Fanatastic read. |

The teacher is a real gem Parm. hopefully I'll get him next year for another class he is teaching called Brit. Lit. which will be fun.

Gates is my all time favourite, ive read too many times! Its just such a powerful novel. I did it for my A level english coursework last year, so i wrote to pressfield asking him about the book, and he sent me back some amazing stuff. Real nice guy, and just an epic book.

| Gates of Fire is one of my all time favourite reads, it may take a bit of getting into but as well as telling an awesome story I got to learn so much more than I did about ancient Greece at the time than I thought I knew already (and I had a huge interest since school). I have read lot's of Pressfield since but none have bettered this. |

Ye i find that with a lot of pressfields stuff. I think he tries to write all of them in this 'epic' way, but he wrote the complete novel with gates and the rest just struggle to keep up with it.
