I couldn't open the website, but did they forget Nero? The Senate declared him an enemy of Rome.

How about Arminius - the Varus disaster, and Attila. Let's not forget the Romans themselves, all of those civil wars as successive generals were raised to the purple.

I'm wondering if Macro & Cato will still be around when Vitellius becomes Emperor?

I think Simon was asked this a while back and confirmed as much.
Vitellius becomes emperor for just a few months - Vespasian becomes emperor too later on.

What about (pardon me if spelling is not correct) Zenobia Queen of Palmyra, didn't she kick Roman butt good and proper for a while, and one of the few women to do it.

yes Vitellius does become Emporer for about 3months i think in AD69, but craps himself when Vespasian returns. and either legs it or gets bumped off, I think it's the latter.

I would say Atilla or the Hun's specifcally. There depredations on other tribes cause many of them to migrate to the Empire which Rome simply could not keep out.
And if you consider Hannibal he had the advantages of a world power at his back against another power but not the superpower it would become. And his defeat only made Rome stronger.
While in regards to Atilla they wet themselves in both Eastern and Western Empires at his arrival and after him Rome was shown to be a lot weaker.

Spartan, have you ever tried reading Gates of Fire by Stephen Prestfield?
Its all about the battle of Thermopylae! very good book, can be a bit of a wordy read at times but well worth the effort.
