Any good books about The punic wars from romes points of View?????? ive read Julius Caesar and Julio-Claudian era now id like a good Punic war series or 1 off bout Hannibal and the scipio's also a good Constantine book as i cant seem to spot any. anyone know of any?

I found Rome a city of bricks and left it a city of marble.

If you mean fiction, you could try Scipio by Ross Leckie. I haven't gotten around to reading that one but I did read Hannibal by the same other, which was very good. It's written in the first person and was very graphic at times. The bit involving the Standard and Hannibal's wife still makes me wince!

Give 'em a try.

Let's just say that she's captured by the Romans and they make use of her before giving the rounded end of the Standard a go!!!

There's a third book in the series called Carthage that I forgot to mention. I've not read this one either. I'm not too hot on the old book reviews!
