I've changed my post so Viri's links up properly. Luckily I only needed to alter one word! Now Jehanus is looking back into the fort with Bacus doing something - next, please!

I've given a lammergeier as the bad omen - an Alpine Vulture should fit the bill. Now all we need is for the villagers to retreat so that Jehanus can get on with the peace negotiations, bamboozling Gaius who at the same time is bamboozling Jehanus. That's the good bit about the story here, they both want peace and neither knows that the other will do anything to get it (grin)

Violence avoided... for the moment, that is.
Now, let's get back to the fort hall and kick some a**!

It's nice to see someone spelling a** the way it should be. I've never understood the English version a**e.

We need to pick the tread on Marcus et all soon!
Reports of some of their actions could be presented by the village envoys, to force the perfect to some action...

Ankhsy and Viri, it's a very old "Anglo-Saxon" term - maybe not actually that old, but long established. The American version is simply a corruption of it, or maybe I should say a Bowdlerisation of it.

Nisia, your post needs correcting. I think you've done what I often do and not turned the page.

Blow this for a game of soldiers! I have continued from my own contribution instead of waiting for Nisia to come online again, otherwise we'd be stuck.

I guess Nísia post it while alone at the forum... I think this was her first add to the story!

I hope she doesn't let it put her off contributing again - everyone makes mistakes, that' why I always recommend letting the thread reload after posting, just to check that the new bit follows on - and that you weren't 10 seconds behind someone else!

As I tend to post at night (and as far as I see, Nísia too) that last bit doesn't apply!
And no, it wouldn't put her off, I'm just (nicelly)surprised that she as decided to join the story!
