I leave it to thenext poster to say whether the Legionaries in the inn are (a) in uniform, or (b) disguised but obvious to anyone who's been around soldiers, or (c) speaking Spanish which would be a bit of a giveway.

This is where {Pullo links up with an old friend, who just happens to be one of those unhappy with their leader's aim to topple the Emperor and introduces him to the others. There has to be someone there to help Pullo sow dissension or we won't have the fighting that breaks up the Spanish attack on Simonius!

OK, let's have the upper-class twit looking for advice on the Spanish wines to go with different meals because he's run out of Falernian. That should give Lupo the chance to insinuate Pullo as a fellow expert so he can check out the conspirators and look for the Emperor's son.

i dont know im gone a week and return to plot issues ...
if pullo and lupo are spotted at the gate then it will get back that they helped in the escape! so we need to kill the sentry, also whats the javelin bit?? the camp is run by traitors so they would not need to hide the fact they could just kill them all so we need to explain that...

We're getting strange delays here, I checked after posting to make sure it still followed on properly and Ankhsy' post hadn't shown up then. Hmm ,something to do with the clocks changing? I've changed mine anyway and brought back Winstonix the friendly warrior. Maybe we can have his people joining in the big battle!

This "Savra" ought to be the same guy who was prefect back at the original fort. Didn't he run off when Simonius capture it? He is supposed to have allegiances to the Emperor's son.

That seems like a good idea Parm - we get confused enough without having different characters with the same name.
I've made the lad a junior Tribune, which means that Lupo's brother - or brother-in-law - must be of Senatorial rank and gives Lupo some pull in Rome if it's needed. Maybe we should designate his Legion as Hispania Victrix (I don'[t think there ws one with that title so we need not worry about its real history) and have it firmly loyal to the Emperor when the deception is discovered?

Very lazy of me to ask, I know but each time I try to catch up on events and plot in this bit I get a little lost. To much of Rappies coffee I think!

Well, for a start Paul, the Emperor's son is supposed to be the mioving spirit behind this attempted rebellion. So I simply don't know where Ankhsy and you are going with the current story line which implies someone else pulling his strings. That's why I'm not posting, I can't understand the current storyline.

They are now loyal helpers of the Romans - the lesser of two evils after seeing what the Free Gaul zealots are capable of - so they should be setting off to help Simonius by attacking his attackers, even if they don't know yet that he needs help.

OK folks, let's see what the suspiciously well-dressed prisoner can tell Jehanus. Is he an officer in disguise, or one of the plotters? Remember, Jehanus has been trained by Romans so knows that rebels caught in the act are subject to summary execution, so he'll have no qualms about offing some to encourage tongues to wag.

I thimk they should live. What if Jehanus returns and shows some compassion. Maybe kill a few to discover that the well dressed man is infact a plotter and he reveals under duress that a plot to kill our good guy is going to happen quickly and Jehanus needs to hurry to save the day? Is this a good direction to go?
