Maybe Alex should change Parm's ranking to Q - the omniscient being. Although Q belongs to the Next \generation series, he is light years above all other beings, and given Parms posting count, he does deserve it. And it might appease his geeky outrage.

Not quite, although in "The Squire of Gothos', a character called Trelane, plays an omniscient bratty impulsive alien with god-like powers that can alter the world, who puts humanity on trial. Trelane is clearly a prototype for Q, with a penchant for the same 18th century French aristocratic clothes.

So Q can be said to have appeared in the Original Series and should be the title of the highest life form.

Alex has been reading Parm's posts too long and picked up bad spelling habits!

I like the Q idea, then Parm could say: "I,Q ..."

I thought Uhuru wasn't right, but I'm only a humble Doctor Who fan (and if anyone calls me a Whovian, I swear blood will be spilt).

Anyway, I've caused enough trouble as it is over my pedantry.

Nisia is right. It should be Lt Uhura. Gene Rodenberry (the creator of Star Trek) chose the name because Uhuru means 'Freedom' in Swahili and Nichelle Nichols liked it.

So , Alex, two changes please:
1) Uhuru to Uhura
2) Q for Parm

Is it really poor spelling or just digital dyslexia?
