...a mock-umentory on the (wistful) assassination of George Bush. It was on TV last night on More4. Anyone see it?
I'll be honest, I found it boring, and just a little alanted actually. Amongst the talking heads being interviewed in the aftermath of this hypothesised fiction, were a prossession of police chiefs, political allies, speachwriters...all eulogising over Bush like he was as brilliant as Kennedy.
'..he had this talent for taking advantage of people who under-estimated him...'
'...he was a very calm, and deeply thoughtful President...'
Some very slick editing with archive footage created believable footage of him being gunned down, in much the same way Robert Kennedy was. Again...sniffing a slant to this movie, I suspect trying to associate Bush with the tragic Kennedys.
I felt at the end, I'd been watching a Republican-sponsored propaganda piece, disguised as a left-of-centre indie movie.

I don't bother to watch political movies, they all have axes to grind and leave out anything that doesn't fit the makers' world view.

Misunderestimated, surely!
Can't get More4 - terrestrial only. Here's a theory - maybe it was a warning to the terrorists: Don't assassinated Bush or we'll retaliate with soppy programmes about how great he was!

By logging in twice at the same time, Warren, according to the readout at the bottom of my screen. How did you manage that? I don't think it means that each of your posts counts as two! (grin) Come and post to the 6-word story instead, that will push your count up! (even bigger grin)

I finally watched this last night. I must say I found it fascinating! It also agreed with what I thought would be the worst case scenario...kill Bush and Cheney becomes president.
