OK here's one:
How much wood could a Woodchuck chuck, if a Woodchuck could chuck wood? (Sorry, it's all I could come up with!)
So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!”

HURRAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!! I've got 5 stars! I only had 4 stars for about 100 posts aswell. I'm finally at the top of the evolutionary food chain. Not that I believe that kind of nonsense, but sometimes you've got to put your principles aside and go with it!
Sorry Manu, your go!

They're all the odd one out in their own way. Seventy is the only one that represents a number; Carrot is the only one that's an orange vegetable... I could go on, but I can't be bothered! Can you be more specific?

ok its which word, as in the letters that make it up, not the object in which it represents. eg carrot because its spelt C A R R O T. not because its a veg.

OK, that helps. I think I might have it: Is it Carrot, because all the other words contain a word within themselves (eg Swing contains win, sacred contains acre)but carrot doesn't? Instead it is made up of 2 words.
So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!”

Yeah ill give you that, all the words make a different word if you take off the first and last letters, apart from carrot so the answer is carrot

A man in the old west rides into Dodge City on Friday. He stays there for 3 days and nights then leaves on Friday. How?

Ok this one takes a bit to work out but here we go...
At a recent Pets Anonymous reunion, the attendees were discussing which pets they had recently owned. James used to have a dog. The person who used to own a mouse now owns a cat, but the person who used to have a cat does not have a mouse. Kevin has now or used to have a dog, I can't remember which. Becky has never owned a mouse. Only one person now owns the pet they previously had. Rebecca said very little throughout the meeting and nobody mentioned the hamster. Can you determine who owns which pet and what they used to own?
